Several celebrations in one season can overlap with travel, clothes, and gifts. Looking at the invitations together makes it easier to choose what you can attend comfortably.

Build an event list

For each invitation, note the date, location, RSVP deadline, and likely travel. Separate costs you cannot avoid from optional extras such as a new outfit or an extended trip.

Estimate each full visit

Include transport, lodging, meals outside the event, childcare if needed, and a gift that fits your circumstances. Do not let a suggested gift amount override your own budget.

Choose before booking

Add the event estimates to see the seasonal total. If it is too high, consider a shorter stay, shared transport, an outfit you already own, or politely declining an event. Record bookings and deposits as they occur.
